Living in a sustainable apartment in RijswijkBuiten? This is possible in De Machinist. At the location on Grote Vuurvlinderstraat, near the Wilhelminapark, Stevast Ontwikkeling and Dura Vermeer are developing the De Machinist project.
The project consists of a total of 5 residential blocks, comprising a total of 109 apartments with a living area ranging from approximately 57 - 100 m². Because all 5 apartment blocks have their own entrance, you live in an apartment complex consisting of approximately 20 apartments. For each residential block is included a common bicycle storage and also a mobility scooter area. Parking is available in the public area.
Sustainable development
The homes in The Machinist are all sustainable. The apartments will be equipped with a ground source heat pump, solar panels, a balanced ventilation system with heat recovery, underfloor heating, etc. So by purchasing an apartment in De Machinist, buyers are well prepared for the future.
Location and surroundings
The De Machinist project is being built in subarea Parkrijk in the sustainable new housing estate RijswijkBuiten. RijswijkBuiten is located near the center of Rijswijk and Delft. The Hague and Rotterdam are also easily and quickly accessible via the A4 and A13 freeways. In this former greenhouse area between Rijswijk and Delft, over 3,500 new sustainable homes will be built until 2026, divided among the subareas Sion, Parkrijk and Pasgeld.
Green urban living in Parkrijk
We do not call the area Parkrijk for nothing: the adjacent Wilhelminapark with no less than 150 hectares of greenery is the starting point for the urban design of the district. Parkrijk will be designed so that every street will soon be connected to the multifaceted recreational area. The long avenues with the adjacent houses are an extension of the park. In the park you can walk, bike or run and enjoy the greenery. For children there is a playground and in warm weather it is even possible to take a dip in the swimming pond!
Numerous amenities have also been thought of. There are now two elementary school located in subarea Parkrijk: one elementary school in a temporary location and one elementary school in combination with a childcare and gymnasium in the new building of Montessori Child Center Parkrijk. In the first quarter of 2023, shopping complex De Koploper, with a Lidl supermarket and a number of (yet to be opened) day stores, was completed. The construction of a new health center in Parkrijk began in June 2022. Finally, a small business park can be found on the south side of Parkrijk that will also be expanded in the coming years.
